Rochdale Hornets host Workington Town in their latest Betfred League One fixture, at the Crown Oil Arena.

Overview
Fixture: Rochdale Hornets v Workington Town
Competition: Betfred League One
Date: Sunday 16 April
Kick-off: 15:00
Venue: Crown Oil Arena
Rochdale Hornets
The Hornets suffered a 56-16 defeat on derby day against Oldham on Good Friday, and were beaten by 48 points the week prior to that against table-toppers Dewsbury, so Sunday's game is a great chance for Gary Thornton's side to get back to winning ways.
In the game at the Vestacare Stadium last time out, Widnes duo Brad Holroyd and Will Tilleke were standouts on dual-registration for the Hornets, and Tilleke remains in the squad for the game against Workington this weekend.
Lewis Else was one of the few Rochdale try scorers against Oldham, he, along with Dave Hewitt in the halves will be looking to galvanise their teammates as the Hornets look to get back to winning ways.
A win for Rochdale will come as a much needed boost to write the wrongs from the start of the season thus far.
Workington Town
Anthony Murray's side have began the season well, picking up three wins from a possible four, with their only loss coming against Dewsbury.
They have defeated London Skolars, Midlands Hurricanes and North Wales Crusaders, respectively.
The Cumbria-based side, who were last season relegated from the Betfred Championship, and currently sit in the play-off section of the League One table.
Head to head
The sides have only faced each other three times of late, all of which were Workington victories. The most recent one coming at Derwent Park in 2021, where the Hornets lost narrowly 34-28.
Team News
Head coach Thornton has named his initial squad for Sunday's outing, by giving places to a few loanees.
Sheffield's Lewis Peachey, Widnes' Tilleke and Batley's George Senior are all introduced into the team, while Andy Clarke, Luke Forber and Connor Ratcliffe all return.
Full Hornets 21-man-squad: Jack Arnold, Cameron Berry, AJ Boardman, Toby Brannan, Dan Brewin, Andy Clarke, Connor Aspey, Lewis Else, Luke Forber, Ben Forster, Dave Hewitt, Sion Jones, Ben Killan, Lewis Peachey, Connor Ratcliffe, Aiden Roden, George Senior, Will Tilleke & Cian Tyrer.
